Today, on Veterans Day, I’m reflecting on the incredible men and women who have served and whom I’ve had the privilege of meeting during my first year as your senator.
From hearing their stories to celebrating their achievements, every moment has been a powerful reminder of the courage and sacrifice that protect our freedoms. I’m proud to stand alongside these heroes and honored to share a few photos from this past year that left a lasting impact.
🏈 🎉Yesterday, I had the pleasure of cheering on the Dillsburg Ponies as they drove past my office in a send-off parade to the 2025 CFA Pony Super Bowl to play Red Land!
This year’s championship featured the grandchildren of two 31st District legends—Col. Joe Innerst and Dr. Larry Cox—going head-to-head. The Dillsburg Ponies came out on top with a 20-0 victory!
Congrats to both teams on an amazing season! The 31st District is a true powerhouse in Youth Club Pony Football!

Tomorrow, my offices will be closed in honor of Veterans Day.
This is a day to pause, reflect and celebrate the incredible courage and sacrifice of the men and women who have served our country. Their dedication protects our freedoms and inspires us every day.
Yesterday, I attended a Veterans Day Celebration and Breakfast hosted by the @yorkcountypa Department of Veterans Affairs.
It was a meaningful morning honoring the service and sacrifice of York County’s veterans. I am truly grateful to all who have served to defend our freedoms and protect the rights we hold dear. Thank you Veterans!
PennDOT invites the public to an online plans display regarding Route 194, Section 026 (Baltimore Pike) Culvert Replacement Project over an unnamed tributary (UNT) to the North Branch of Bermudian Creek in Washington Township, York County. The purpose of this project is to provide a continued safe and efficient crossing on Route 194 over the tributary to the North Branch of Bermudian Creek.
The existing structure was built in 1929 and is a single-span reinforced concrete slab bridge supported on concrete abutments. The bridge length is 17 feet and has a curb-to-curb width of 31 feet.
The proposed structure is anticipated to be a precast concrete box culvert. Minor approach roadway work including pavement reconstruction, rock slope protection, and guide rail upgrades will also be performed. The roadway alignment will closely match the existing geometry. The roadway and bridge will be slightly widened to accommodate 11-foot lanes and 5-foot shoulders, providing a curb-to-curb width of 32 feet.
Route 194 will be detoured during construction.
The project is currently in design, and work is expected to take place in the 2027 construction season.
The purpose of the plans display is to introduce the project and solicit public input, questions, or concerns regarding the project.
You can view a digital version of the project plans and give public comments through November 20 at the link in my bio.
What a great morning celebrating our heroes!
@repjoedorsie and I were thrilled to host a Veterans Appreciation Breakfast full of laughter, inspiring stories and heartfelt gratitude. We were especially honored to hear from our guest speaker, Maj. Gen. Michael E. Wegscheider, deputy adjutant general – Army of the Pennsylvania National Guard, whose message was truly inspiring and reminded us of the courage and dedication of our veterans. To all who have served our nation with honor, thank you for your service!
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this morning so special.
The @pennsylvaniadot announced that the Harmony Grove Road (Route 4014) bridge spanning Conewago Creek between Detters Mill Road and Conewago Road in Dover and Warrington townships, York County, is open to traffic.
The bridge was closed in July for preservation work. A detour associated with the closure has been lifted.
This work is part of a two-bridge contract that includes replacing the Carlisle Road (Route 74) bridge spanning Conewago Creek between Alpine Road and Conewago Road in Dover and Warrington townships.
Route 74 bridge construction is expected to begin next spring. There will be a detour of up to 240 days when that occurs.
Work also includes bridge approach reconstruction, scarification and hydro-demolition of bridge deck, concrete repairs, temporary access road and creek crossing construction, bridge demolition, new guide rail, drainage and other miscellaneous construction.
This week, I was able to attend the Sheepford Road Bridge lift with the West Shore Historical Society.
The 1887 bridge was lifted from its 138-year-old resting place spanning the Yellow Breeches Creek in Fairview Township. The historic structure will now undergo restoration in York before returning next spring, fully refurbished and ready to begin its next chapter as a pedestrian bridge.
